Blood Orange Margarita

Happy National Margarita Day! Although, I think it is not fair to dedicate only one day of the year to loved ones or to celebrate their existence for one day, this cocktail, which is one of my favorites, deserves to have a special day of its own. The creation of Margarita dates back to 1938 and since then I believe it has been the official drink of having fun. In order to celebrate this special day, I made a margarita using blood orange, which is currently one of my favorite ingredients. I also added yellow Chartreuse to take it to another level.

Ingredients

  • 45 ml Tequila blanco
  • 15 ml Yellow chartreuse
  • 45 ml Blood orange juice
  • 22.5 ml Lime juice
  • 5 ml Agave syrup (optional)

Instructions

  • Coat the rim of your glass with spice and salt mix. Add all ingredients into your shaker and shake with ice until well-chilled. Double strain into your glass. Garnish with blood orange wedges. ⁣
    Cheers! 🍹
