Chili Beets
2021 is finally coming to an end and becoming a tradition of the #drinkstagram community with the great efforts of our dearest friend Matthias (@servedbysoberon), it is time to reveal my #SecretSanté!
It is my third year now and this year I made a drink for @downerontherocks! It was so hard to decide what to do as I saw the variety of the amazing cocktails he created while I was checking his feed. I finally decided to go with an agave spirit cocktail. Using both tequila and mezcal and pairing beetroot with a bit of chili and kaffir lime worked really well for me. (Beetroot shrub is another option to use instead of beetroot juice.) I hope you will like and enjoy it @downerontherocks. Cheers to you and happy holidays!
Ingredients
- 30 ml Blanco Tequila
- 30 ml Mezcal
- 30 ml Beetroot juice
- 20 ml Lime juice
- 10 ml Agave syrup
- 2 dashes Hot chili sauce or few slices of chili peppers to muddle
- 2-3 dashes Kaffir lime tincture
Instructions
- Add all ingredients into a shaker and shake well with ice. Double strain into an ice-filled glass and garnish with kaffir lime leaves. Cheers to you all and happy holidays! 🥂🎄
