Fennel, melon and mastiha. with or without chili..It's up to you.

Sometimes it all starts with one ingredient to make a cocktail. I had this fresh fennel flowers which has a mild licorice flavor, so, I decided to pair it with melon and mastiha liqueur to create a mediterranean taste. I used vodka as the base liquor since I have many flavors to balance. I also added a cayenne pepper (not muddled) just to give a hint of hot profile for the aftertaste.

Ingredients
  

  • 45 ml Vodk⁣a
  • 30 ml Mastiha liqueur
  • 45 ml Melon puree no sugar added
  • 30 ml Lemon juice
  • 1 dried Cayenne pepper
  • 1 sprig of Fennel flowers

Instructions
 

  • Add all ingredients into your shaker and shake well with ice. Double strain into an ice-filled glass. Garnish with a melon slice and fennel flowers.
