Empire State of Mind
I made this cocktail and published it as a story during a vacation a few weeks ago. I was trying to utilize a bottle of mulled wine and of course I did a variation of New York sour as a I am a whiskey sour fan. I also replaced the simple syrup with a special rose tonic syrup from @nextofmixology and it turned out to be outstanding for me.
Ingredients
- 60 ml Bourbon
- 40 ml Fresh emon juice
- 20 ml Rose tonic syrup
- Egg white
- Mulled wine
Instructions
- Add all ingredients, except wine, into a shaker and first dry shake. Add ice and shake again. Double strain into an ice-filled glass. Float mulled wine using pouring it through a bar spoon. Garnish with an orange zest or a few drops of orange bitters. Cheers! 🥃
