Martinez
The Martinez cocktail is considered to be a predecessor to the Martini in some sources but of course they are totally different. Normally, it is equal parts of gin and sweet vermouth with a touch of maraschino liqueur and orange bitters. I made the Hendrick’s gin recipe of Martinez since I wanted to make it using Hendrick’s gin. Angostura bitters also fits well to this cocktail and it is still smooth even with the less use of sweet vermouth.
Ingredients
- 40 ml Hendrick’s Gin

- 1 dash Angostura bitters
- 1 dash Orange bitters
Instructions
- Stir all ingredients over ice in a mixing glass or tin. Strain into a chilled coupe or martini glass. Garnish with an orange twist. Cheers! 🍸
