The Lumière
Today is my birthday. I would like to say that I made this cocktail for myself today but it is not true. I made it last week 🙂 I was working the whole day. I made it as a riff to well known Last Word but then I thought that it is such a recipe that somebody should have done it before. And I was right. It was created by Nitehawk Cinema's Beverage Director Jen Marshall and inspired by the Oscar-nominated film Hugo. It is defined as “The magical sophistication of elderflower, citrus, and green chartreuse mirrors Hugo's and Isabella's enchanting quest through 1930's Paris.” I made it with the all equal parts combination but the original contains more gin and elderflower liqueur.
Ingredients
- 25 ml Plymouth Gin
- 25 ml Green Chartreuse
- 25 ml St. Germain Elderflower liqueur
- 25 ml Fresh lime juice
- 2 dashes Homemade orange bitters
Instructions
- Add all ingredients into a shaker and shake well with ice. Double strain into an ice-filled glass. Garnish with a lime wedge. Cheers! 🍸
