Karadut - Sakiz
In summer, my favorite ice cream combination is black mulberry and mastic. Since I had a delicious black mulberry cordial, I decided to give this pairing a try and rather than making a simple mix, I tried the milk clarification method but this time with salep to bring the flavor profile closer to the ice cream. The curds took a strange form, therefore, a few more trials are needed on clarification. However, the cocktail has a very pleasant taste profile even for the first trial.
Ingredients
- 50 ml Vodka
- 20 ml Mastiha Liqueur
- 30 ml Lemon Juice
- 30 ml Black Mulberry Cordial
- 50 ml Milk with Salep (for the clarification)
Instructions
- *You can prepare the salep milk mixture with 1 teaspoon of salep powder and 100 ml of milk.Mix all ingredients except milk in a bowl. Add your mixture on warm salep-milk. (You can keep it in the fridge for a while before straining.) Perform the clarification process by filtering it with a coffee filter. You can chill your clear cocktail with the throwing technique and serve it in a glass with ice.Cheers! 🍸
