Campari and blood orange juice

Garibaldi (Blood Orange)

It was 2000 or 2001 if I remember correctly, Campari was one of the first bottles that I bought from Duty Free. I remember drinking it mixed with fresh orange juice at that time, and constantly warning friends, "But it has to be fresh". 🙂 The idea of mixing it with orange juice was probably from the back label of the bottle. I came across Garibaldi by chance somewhere recently, then I remember it’s been so long not having one and I wanted to make again. But this time, of course, I made it with blood orange because it is the season. For those who does not enjoy the bitter taste of Campari, aerating the orange juice by squeezing at high speed or using a milk frother after pressing is recommended as it softens the bitterness. I didn't make it because I like that bitter taste, but I'll try it later.

Ingredients

  • 1 part Campari
  • 2-3 parts Blood Orange Juice

Instructions

  • Add Campari and orange juice into your ice-filled glass. Give it a stir before sipping. Garnish with an orange wheel.
    Cheers! 🍹🍊
