Jack & Coke (Revisited)
It can be really enjoyable to experiment on new recipes with the idea of presenting the tastes which we are familiar with, as a new and different experience. I think most of you already know Jack and Coke. I wanted to alter this taste profile by creating a new recipe and present it in a different form. I used Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Select as the base spirit and made an old-fashioned with the addition of amaro, cherry bitters and orange bitters. Instead of adding the cola in the mix, topping up this delicious cocktail with a woody cola foam creates a pleasant experience at each sip.
Ingredients
- 60 ml Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Select
- 7.5 ml Amaro
- 2 dashes Spiced cherry bitters
- 1 dash Orange bitters
- 10 ml Simple syrup
- Woody cola foam siphon
Instructions
- Stir all ingredients over ice in a mixing glass or tin. Strain into your glass over a large clear ice cube. Top with cola foam. You may serve without garnish or with a maraschino cherry over a dehydrated orange wheel. Cheers! 🥃
