A small Chambord touch to the Manhattan cocktail

Fifth Avenue⁣

As all of you may know, Manhattan is one of the most well-known classics. Made with whiskey, sweet vermouth and angostura bitters, this cocktail is especially preferred by whiskey lovers. There are many different stories/theories about where it was first made, but there is no exact information which is the case for many classics. You may also come across many different recipes in different sources. My preferred ratio of whiskey and sweet vermouth is 2:1. I have already mentioned Gentleman Jack's versatile use in cocktails in one of my earlier posts. This time I tried it in this Manhattan variation. Pairing sweet vermouth with berry liqueur and adding a little bit of orange bitters made the cocktail very easy to drink and enjoyable.⁣

Ingredients

  • 60 ml Gentleman Jack
  • 20 ml Sweet vermouth
  • 10 ml Chambord
  • 2 dashes angostura bitters
  • 1 dash orange bitters

Instructions

  • Stir all ingredients over ice in a mixing glass or tin. Strain into your chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a maraschino cherry.⁣
    Cheers! 🥃
