Things got out of control when trying to make an El Diablo twist :)

El Cielo⁣

The first cocktails that comes to mind when talking about tequila cocktails would be margaritas and palomas. El Diablo is almost unknown in Turkiye, as I have experienced in my cocktail workshops. This cocktail, which emerged in the middle of the 20th century, is a mix of tequila, creme de cassis, lime juice and ginger ale. Considering these components, this mix can be considered as a twist to El Diablo with tequila, berry notes from Chambord and blackberry puree. The addition of roasted pineapple syrup adds smokiness and sweetness to the cocktail and you may choose between soda or ginger ale since the mix is rich enough in flavors. ⁣ ⁣

Ingredients
  

  • 50 ml Tequila Blanco⁣
  • 10 ml Cointreau⁣
  • 10 ml Chambord⁣
  • 30 ml Blackberry puree
  • 30 ml Lime juice⁣
  • 15 ml Roasted pineapple syrup
  • Soda or ginger ale

Instructions
 

  • Add all ingredients, except soda, in your shaker and shake well with ice. Double strain into your ice-filled glass. Top with soda or ginger ale and garnish with blackberries and a mint sprig.
