Gin Basil Smash (Bergamot)

I guess everbody knows gin basil smash. It is a simple and delicious modern classic which is one of my favorites. I try to stick to the original recipe but only replaced the simple syrup with bergamot cordial (the cordial does not have the 1:1 sugar/water ratio so that I used a little bit more). I guess you are not surprised with this twist since you might have realized that when there is basil I can’t help myself using bergamot. 🙂 And try it with Gin Mare if you have it 🤘🏻

Ingredients

  • 60 ml Gin Mare Mediterranean Gin
  • 30 ml Lemon juice
  • 20 ml Homemade bergamot cordial
  • 10 fresh Basil leaves

Instructions

  • Muddle basil leaves in your shaker and add the rest of the ingredients. Shake well with ice and double-strain into an ice-filled glass. Garnish with fresh basil leaves. Cheers! 🍸
