A Free Bird twist with cacao oil washed Campari

The Jungle Bird cocktail is definitely one of my favorites. What I like about this cocktail is the addition of Campari which gives the cocktail more complexity and balances the sweetness of pineapple juice. However, if you are not a fan of the bitter taste, then you may try several infusions or oil-wash techniques for your liqueur like I did for this riff. Jungle Bird cocktail is normally served in a rocks glass but I like to serve and have it in a tall glass. #drinkstagram, what is your favorite Jungle Bird riff?

Ingredients
  

  • 45 ml Dark rum
  • 22.5 ml Cacao oil-washed Campari
  • 45 ml Pineapple juice
  • 15 ml Lime juice
  • 15 ml Orgeat

Instructions
 

  • Add all ingredients into a shaker and shake well with ice. Double strain into ice-filled glass. Garnish with pineapple fronds and dehydrated lime wheels.
