NY Sour (Satsuma)
The New York Sour is a variation of the classic whiskey sour cocktail with a float of red wine. While the red wine gives the cocktail a beautiful look, it also makes the flavor profile more complex. I shared different variations of this cocktail before. This time I added a touch of Bodrum mandarin (a special unripe mandarin with strong flavor from the Aegean part of Turkey) while it's in season. Cocktail food pairings are usually a bit of a challenge, but I think you can pair this acidic, fruity and wine added cocktail with a salad or even with intense flavored cheeses.
