The Bubbly Of Bergama
I made this cocktail a while ago and haven’t published it. I believe it suits well to the first days of the new year. It is a twist to the classic champagne cocktail with homemade bergamot sparkling wine. It is better to serve this cocktail in a champagne flute so the sugar cube sinks to the bottom so that it drives the bubbles upward. I wish you a happy and prosperous 2022.
Ingredients
- 1 cube of sugar
- 2 dashes Jerry Thomas bitters
- 10 ml Cognac VSOP
- Homemade bergamot sparkling wine
Instructions
- Add 2 dashes of bitters onto sugar cube and drop it into champagne flute. Add cognac and then fill the glass with sparkling wine. Garnish with a lemon peel and a pomegranate flower. Cheers! 🥂
