Strawberries in the base, basil in the foam

Summer Lovin’

This year’s neverending winter is finally over. Colorful fruits start to appear and herald the coming of summer. I would like to make a cocktail using strawberries as if I wanted to bring the summer a little bit faster. I’ve always enjoyed the pairing of strawberry and basil. Rhubarb and ginger flavored gin and Aperol supported this duo perfectly in this cocktail. Since the mix is rich in flavors, adding basil to the cocktail as foam makes the drinking experience more pleasant.

Ingredients
  

  • 45 ml Rhubarb and Ginger Gin
  • 15 ml Aperol
  • 30 ml Lemon juice
  • 15 ml Simple syrup
  • 3 Strawberries
  • Basil Foam

Instructions
 

  • Muddle strawberries in your shaker and add the rest of the ingredients. Shake well with ice until well chilled. Double strain into your highball glass and top with basil foam. Garnish with a basil leaf and/or strawberry.
