The first recipe of 2023 is a recipe with quince. In Turkish, we have an idiom; “eating the quince” meaning “being in trouble”. I hope this first recipe will not add such a meaning to the year 2023. 🙂 Quince is an ingredient that must be used in the right form in order to add the flavor profile to the cocktail. While making the puree, I cooked it for a long time, like making a kind of quince dessert which I believe one of the best methods to use. You can also decide the amount of sweetness by adjusting the solid and liquid ratio for the puree that you can separately get from the cooked quince. Just give it a try if you can, I believe you will love it.
Ingredients
- 50 ml London Dry Gin
- 20 ml Mandarin Napoleon
- 45 ml Quince Puree
- 2 bsp Quince Vinegar
- 10 ml Simple Syrup
- 2 dashes Orange Blossom Water
- 3-4 drops Foamer
Instructions
- Add all ingredients into your shaker and shake well with ice. Double strain into your ice-filled glass and garnish with a quince fan.Cheers! 🍹
